Heading towards the end of the year, I thought it a plan to review our Peninsula market; take a look at the chart, find your city and you’ll see what prices are doing. Some key takeaways from our hot single family housing market:
- In San Mateo County, Atherton stands out with an average sale price of $9,301,885 (yes, you read that correctly!), followed by Hillsborough at $6,091,672, and Woodside at $4,986,135!
- In Santa Clara County, Los Altos Hills comes in with an average sale price of $5,863,144, followed by Los Altos at $4,231,102 and Monte Sereno at $4,139,214!
- In San Mateo County, the city of San Mateo closed 583 houses, followed closely by Redwood City closing 568.
- In Santa Clara County, the city of Sunnyvale closed 551 houses, followed closely by Santa Clara at 532.
- San Jose covers a large area and I’ll break that down in another post; at 5,207 sales home buyers/sellers in San Jose, have been busy!
The numbers above are quite mind boggling and continue to support the fact that there are a lot of people who find living on the Peninsula desirable. If there’s more detailed information you’d like on your neighborhood, reach out and let me know, I’m here to help!
