Los Altos Hills City

LOS ALTOS HILLS CITY HOUSING TRENDS

If you would like to live in one of the most affluent cities in the US, have beautiful Bay and mountain views, and yet be within easy driving distance of Highway 280 and nearby downtown Los Altos, then Los Altos Hills may very well be for you. With very few exceptions (notably close to Los Altos) the minimum lot size is one acre. Los Altos Hills is very strict about how properties are landscaped; as a result the “natural” look prevails and driving through the city is like driving through a country neighborhood.

Los Altos Hills is home to Hidden Villa, an organic farm and wilderness area covering over 1600 acres of open space. They host many programs and this is a popular destination.

Like Atherton, Los Altos Hills has no commercial, industrial, or business properties of any type; it’s purely residential. The city has its own elementary school; however, both middle and high school are covered by the excellent Los Altos school system, as are the library, post office, and other public services.

APARTMENTS

There are no apartments or multi-unit properties of any type in Los Altos Hills. Single family homes are available to rent and an occasional guest house. It’s best to work with a real estate agent in looking for a rental in this area.
